At the age of 29, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017. After I learned about cold capping, I was determined to preserve my hair and learn all I could about this life changing technique, but early on was met with a lot of criticism, being advised that "it doesn't work" or to invest my money in something else since "it'll just grow back".
Driven by the shortage of accessible information and assistance, I established an online support network. A safe space to discuss these hair-saving techniques, as well as the possibility to interact with and inspire other courageous peers experiencing similar challenges.
Chemotherapy Cold Cappers emerged from a desire to motivate and promote the cold capping community, as well as a belief that actions speak louder than words. We are a support group founded in 2018 that is motivated by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support.
